JEE Main 2023: To excel in the exam, it is also important for candidates to focus on problem-solving first rather than grappling with complex theories

National Testing Agency (NTA) ready to conduct the examination for jee main 2023 Session 2 on April 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12. This gives the candidates a little over a month to prepare for the exam. While JEE Main usually sees learners preparing for it for years, the last two months can be crucial for them to qualify for the next level of the exam, JEE Advanced.

For this crucial period they need to focus on specific topics and core areas and give maximum time for revision and mock test practice. To maximize the chances of success, students need to adopt an effective and strategic study approach. Here are some steps to get success in the exam.

learning tricks

Over the years, there has been a lot of emphasis on solving complex and lengthy maths problems, solving tricky physics questions and mastering NCERT-based concepts in chemistry. However, to enhance performance and optimize time management, candidates should give priority to practicing more maths problems, building a solid foundation of physics concepts and thoroughly reviewing NCERT material.

It is advisable for the candidates to avoid practicing and solving questions from many foreign-written books. Instead, they should focus on studying from class notes, referring to NCERT textbooks, and reviewing previous year’s questions from last 10 years.

To excel in the exam, it is also important for the candidates to focus on problem-solving first rather than grappling with complex theories. The exam focuses on short concepts and requires the ability to solve short, difficult questions within the given time limit.

mastering a timetable

It is advised to the candidates to increase their daily study hours to at least 7-8 hours a day. This can help them to increase their productivity and effectiveness in their JEE Main preparation. It is recommended that candidates give priority to problem-solving sections and allocate at least 60 per cent of their study time to it. It can help in improving the understanding of concepts and enhance the ability to solve problems effectively.

recommended books

In order to effectively study and practice a wide range of concepts, it is important for candidates to have access to well-structured and approved textbooks. While NCERT textbooks are widely recognized as an excellent resource for JEE Main preparation, there are a few other textbooks written by different authors that are recommended for students.

Physics,

(i) Understand Physics by DC Pandey

(ii) Concept of Physics by HC Verma

(iii) NCERT text book

chemistry,

(i) Organic Chemistry by MS Chauhan

(ii) Physical Chemistry by N Awasthi

(iii) Inorganic Chemistry from NCERT text book

Mathematics

(i) Cengage Maths by G Tevani

(ii) NCERT text book

JEE Main preparation can be a difficult process, and it is important to prioritize one’s physical and mental health. Students should get enough sleep, exercise regularly and maintain a healthy diet. Getting enough sleep is important for effective preparation, and aiming for eight hours of sleep each night is a good goal. These exercises can help them manage stress and maintain optimum health during preparation.
