The youngster also described how the conversation dragged on for him to “speak for four hours”. Jemima said that she and Mandhana asked Kohli for batting advice, to which he agreed. Both were in the hotel of Kohli and Anushka Sharma in New Zealand.

“Smriti and I got a chance to talk to him. We had asked him ‘we want to talk to Virat.’ Brother About batting. Can we meet?’. We were in the same hotel in New Zealand. He was like ‘Yeah sure, come’. So he invited us to the cafe and Anushka Sharma was also there.” She said on Ranveer Show,

“We told him for a few minutes but we talked for four hours. We talked about batting for half an hour but after that it was normal,” he said.

He also mentioned a certain piece of advice from Kohli where he explained how to deal with the pressure of expectations.

“I asked him about how to handle expectations. I told him ‘You are Virat Kohli. If you have scored a fifty, it looks like you have done poorly for people. So how do you handle that expectation?’ “For me every time I’m on the field, I just look at the scoreboard and just focus on that. Do this and don’t focus on the crowd and what can I do to help India win,” he said. These expectations matter if I stop giving, and just watch the process, the results will come automatically.”

Jemima was recently dropped from India’s Women’s World Cup squad this year. Meanwhile, Kohli is set to play his 100th Test match in Mohali on March 4, when India play a red-ball match against Sri Lanka.
