Jharkhand political crisis: Instead of blaming BJP, Congress, JMM need to introspect: Arjun Munda

New Delhi [India]Aug 31 (ANI): Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda has accused Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel of indulging in horse-trading and creating political unrest in Jharkhand and asked the allies of the coalition government to support the BJP. Instead of blaming, introspection should be done. ,

It is pertinent to mention that Bhupesh Baghel had said that the UPA coalition government in Jharkhand shifted its MLAs to Raipur to save them from poaching in view of the BJP’s “horse-trading” strategy.

Hitting back at Hemant Soren’s government in Jharkhand, Munda said that Congress is trying to escape from the public by making such absurd statements.

“Congress is trying to avoid public by making baseless statements on such things. Now, in the Congress, there are many senior leaders who want to leave the party, in fact many people have left,” Munda said.

Notably, 31 MLAs and ministers of the ruling coalition in Jharkhand were shifted to the Mayfair resort in Chhattisgarh’s capital Raipur on Tuesday amid political uncertainty over reports that Chief Minister Hemant Soren may be disqualified as an MLA. . Baghel also went to meet the MLAs.

The MLAs had gone to Raipur in an apparent effort from the Chief Minister to keep their flock together. The ruling alliance in Jharkhand consists of JMM, Congress and RJD. Sources said 13 Congress MLAs and 18 JMM MLAs were among those who went to Raipur. He said that JMM ministers did not go.

Taking a jibe at the Soren government, Munda said that if all his MLAs are with him, why is he afraid of losing the government?

Referring to the statement of JMM MLA Lobin Hembram, Munda said, “If the JMM MLAs are saying that they will continue to work with the UPA in the government, then why are they worried.”

JMM MLA Lobin Hembrom said earlier on Wednesday, “I don’t see any political instability. He (Jharkhand MLA in Chhattisgarh) has not disclosed why he is second. I am not going to wander, am in the party and will be. If the MLAs have gone there to formulate a strategy, they should have done so here as well.

“Nevertheless, I have faith in all the MLAs of the UPA that they will unite, and will not be bought. The government will continue,” he said.

Taking a jibe at the leadership of the Congress party, Arjun Munda said that many leaders from different parts of the country are leaving the party which is creating discontent.

“Taking recourse to MLAs of one’s own party shows distrust within the MLAs of one’s own party and that has created such a situation. The party should work instead of looking at everyone with suspicion and they should have faith in their MLAs.

Targeting the Jharkhand government, he said, ‘The government itself is unstable and the administrative system of the state is crumbling. Will they hold BJP responsible for all these things?

On possible disqualification from the state assembly on mining lease contracts, the minister said, “As far as the disqualification of Hemant Soren is concerned, the matter is under the notice of the Election Commission.”

Speaking on mid-term elections, he said that it is not appropriate to comment on mid-term elections, it is too early to say anything on such things.

Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren told reporters at Ranchi airport on Tuesday that the ruling coalition is ready to face any situation.

“No unforeseen event is going to happen. We are ready for everything and the situation is under our control. I will let you know if I too will accompany the MLAs,” he said.

He said that action is taken as per the strategy. “You will see how well the ruling coalition responds to a conspiracy,” Soren said.

Notably, in the 81-member Jharkhand Assembly, the ruling coalition has 30 MLAs from the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), 18 from the Congress and one from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). (ANI)
