Jio 5G Launch: Reliance Jio will launch 5G services across the country by December 2023, as announced by industrialist Mukesh Ambani at the launch of ultra high-speed reliable telecom network by PM Modi during India Mobile Congress at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.

Speaking on the launch of 5G services, Akash Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Jio said, “Jio is planning to cover the whole of India by December… We will make it very affordable, it should be affordable for every Indian – From device to service.”

Jio entered the telecom sector in September 2016, offering free voice calls and dirt-cheap data, forcing the competition to either match or fold up/consolidate.

Ambani has now promised affordable 5G services.

“Today, I want to reiterate Jio’s commitment to bring 5G to every city, every taluka and every tehsil of our country by December 2023,” he said at the India Mobile Congress (IMC) conference.

Ambani had announced the launch of 5G services from the four metro cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata by Diwali at his flagship Reliance Industries Limited’s annual shareholder meeting in August.

Most of Jio’s 5G is developed in India, and hence has the stamp of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’, he said, adding that 5G and 5G-enabled digital solutions would make affordable and high-quality education and skill development within the reach of common Indians. could.

It can provide high quality healthcare in rural and remote areas by transforming existing hospitals into smart hospitals without any additional investment, digitally providing services of the best doctors anywhere in India as well as speed up diagnosis. and could improve accuracy and real-time clinical decision making.

He said that 5G can bridge the gap between urban and rural India by accelerating the digitization and intelligent data management of agriculture, services, trade, industry, informal sector, transport and energy infrastructure.

“By bringing AI to every sphere, 5G can help India emerge as the intelligence capital of the world. This will help India become a leading exporter of high-value digital solutions and services,” he added.
