Srinagar:

The Jammu and Kashmir Police has set up a crisis helpline for members of the minorities living in Kashmir in the wake of recent civilian killings in the Valley.

IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar tweeted, “Kashmir Police sets up minority crisis helpline in PCR Kashmir. In case of emergency, help can be sought at 0194-2482626.”

The helpline has been set up days after terrorists shot dead four people from the minority community, including two teachers, in Srinagar city.

While the Sikh community has decided that government employees from their community will not join work until their safety is ensured, some Kashmiri Pandits have temporarily moved to Jammu in the wake of the killings.
