J&K’s Basantghar Police Station rated ‘One of the Best 10 Police Stations in India’

As per the annual ranking of police stations for the year 2021, Basantgarh police station has secured the ninth position in the list of ten police stations across India.

The Union Home Ministry on November 19 declared the Basantgarh police station in Jammu and Kashmir as “one of the top 10 police stations” in the country, officials said.

A senior police officer said that this is a big achievement for the Jammu and Kashmir Police.

He said, “Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) released the ranking of top 10 Police Stations (PS) in the country. The police station of Udhampur district of our Union Territory – Basantgarh is among the top 10 for the year 2021.”

“Director General of Police (DGP) J&K Dilbag Singh congratulated Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu, Mukesh Singh, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Vivek Gupta and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Udhampur, Sargun Shukla,” he said. said.

As per the Annual Ranking of Police Stations for the year 2021, Basantgarh Police Station secured the ninth position in the list of ten police stations across India. The Sadar Bazar police station in North Delhi tops the list of best performing police stations.

The Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D) had operationalized a performance measurement system for grading police stations.
