President Joe Biden, meeting with his top military advisers, said on Wednesday that the United States does not want conflict with China and that Chinese President Xi Jinping knows it.
Biden said the US would continue to lead on a range of issues from Russia’s aggression in Ukraine to climate change to the Indo-Pacific region.
“We don’t want conflict with them,” he said of the Chinese.
