Jonny Bairstow says he has had a ‘gruesome fight’ with Virat Kohli over the years

Jonny Bairstow and Virat Kohli were involved in a hectic conversation on the third day of the ongoing rescheduled fifth Test between England and India at Edgbaston in Birmingham. Speaking about the verbal exchange between him and Kohli, Bairstow said that they are both ‘fiercely competitive on the field’.

“We have been lucky enough to play against each other for over 10 years, so we have had some fierce battles on the field and we are fiercely competitive on the field. You have 11 people on each side who are so passionate about doing so much good for their country. It was great there,” he said at a press conference.

Bairstow was on 13 off 60, and verbal exchange with kohli happened.
