New Delhi:

Twitter’s latest update, where it introduced the “official” label for select verified accounts, suddenly disappeared when it appeared on Wednesday. The official handle of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was one of the few handles that had the new tag.

In an effort to clear up this apparent confusion, social media giant “complaint hotline operator” Elon Musk said, “Please note that Twitter will do a lot of silly things in the coming months. We will keep what we do and what we do.” Will change him. T.”

When American YouTuber Marques Brownlee shared a tweet confirming that the label had disappeared, Elon Musk said, “I just hit it… Blue Check will be the best leveler ever.”

Twitter announced Wednesday morning that it will introduce an ‘official’ label to select verified accounts, including major media outlets and governments, when it launches its new $8 service with a blue verification mark.

“Not all previously verified accounts will receive the “Official” label and the label is not available for purchase. Accounts that will receive it include government accounts, commercial companies, business partners, major media outlets, publishers and certain public figures, Twitter’s early stage product executive Esther Crawford tweeted.

Twitter’s coveted blue badge is undergoing a major overhaul, with billionaire Elon Musk sticking with his $8 fee despite heavy criticism. Elon Musk recently tweeted, “Trash me all day, but it will cost $8.”
