After two days of non-stop fun, joking and dancing at their pre-wedding festival. Actress Karishma Tanna and businessman Varun Bangera tied the knot on February 5 in an intimate ceremony. Surrounded by close family and friends, the wedding was held at the Taj Lands End in Mumbai.
The beautiful bride looked gorgeous in a Falguni Shane Peacock soft peach and beige silk and sequin lehenga, teamed up with a delicate veil. The fresh flower lotus garlands that the couple exchanged during the wedding ceremony complemented the scintillating bridal look.
An unconventional color palette for a bride, Karisma accentuated her hairdo which was a neat bun covered with fresh pastel hydrangea roses and baby’s breath flowers created by Floral Art by Srishti. The Karishma bridal jewelery was from Karan Johar’s Tyani Fine Jewelery and the look consisted of a choker set, mathapatti, delicate nose ring and bangles. Styled by celebrity stylist Anita Shroff Adajania, Karisma was all smiles in her bridal ensemble.
The pavilion set in the backdrop of the sea filled the atmosphere with lots of love. Matching steps with his bride, Varun wore an ivory sherwani teamed with a beige safa to match Karishma’s bridal lehenga.
Close friends and family attended every ceremony the couple celebrated. The star attraction for her mehendi ceremony was Karishma’s pet dog Coco, who was all dressed up and looked cute as Cookie in a red outfit with block print and matching red shoes.
While both the Haldi and Mehndi celebrations saw the couple dancing lavishly with their friends and family, it was a display of charisma with their friends on Sau Aasamno Ko that got everyone excited for the actor. In a yellow colored bandhej lehenga set with a pink colored lehenga designed by Puneet Balana, the actor paid tribute to his family roots by incorporating block prints in his attire. Varun too wore a block print pink kurta and danced to the tune of Ghungroo for his bride.
The pre-wedding festivities were attended by close friends from the industry, including Aamna Sharif, Terence Lewis among others. Terence also performed on the popular Telugu dance number Oo Antava Mava for Karishma.
