Karnataka allows 100% occupancy in cinemas, pubs in these districts

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Friday announced that cinema halls and pubs in districts with less than 1 per cent positivity rate will be allowed 100 per cent attendance.

The Chief Minister, along with Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar and Revenue Minister R Ashoka, held a review meeting with the officials of the Health Department on the exemption given to pubs and cinema halls.

Mr Bommai said, “Only districts with less than 1 per cent positivity are allowed 100 per cent seating in cinemas and pubs from October 1. If it rises to more than 2 per cent, both will be shut.”

“People with at least one dose of the COVID vaccine will be allowed in theaters and pubs. Night curfew will be imposed from 10 pm to 5 am, and pregnant women and children will not be allowed for now,” he said. They said.

The chief minister further said that all schools in the state would resume classes 6-12 with five working days.

“Awareness programs will be organized in Yadagiri, Raichur, Kalaburagi and Mysore districts and vaccination drive will also be increased,” he said.

“Separate guidelines will be issued for Dussehra festival and strict vigil will be maintained in the border areas,” he said.
