The Government of Karnataka has decided to issue an ordinance for increase reservation 15% to 17% for Scheduled Caste (SC) and 3% to 7% for Scheduled Tribe (ST).

Briefing reporters after the state cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on October 20, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister JC Madhuswamy said that the cabinet decided to bring an ordinance to increase the reservation for scheduled castes and scheduled tribes. Is.

The cabinet decided to provide services through 290 mobile veterinary hospitals in different districts.

Administrative approval was given for the revised estimate of ₹347.92 crore for development of an airport at Vijayapura. The airport will be named ‘Shri Jagjyoti Basaveshwara Airport’.

Approval was given to release ₹33.92 crore for purchase of anesthesia workstations and patient monitoring equipment in 18 government medical colleges and ₹47.47 crore for check dams in Paduvari village of Bindoor taluk of Udupi district.

The Cabinet approved Jal Jeevan Mission projects worth Rs 1,505 crore in various districts to provide drinking water. Mr Madhuswamy said it approved a mega project of ₹855.39 crore for Alur, Belur, Hassan and Sakleshpur taluks, covering 1,477 villages.
