Tourism, Environment and Ecology Minister BS Anand Singh on Friday said that the government will release Rs 1.5 crore for the upcoming Parashuram theme park in Karkala.
Speaking at the Karkala Utsav event, the minister said that the funds would be released in the next fortnight. Appreciating the Karkala festival, he said that it should continue in the years to come.
Kannada and Culture and Energy Minister V. Sunil Kumar said that district level festivals like Karkala Utsav will be organized by Kannada and Culture Department in all the districts of the state.
He said that 10,000 artists took part in the grand cultural procession organized in the city on Friday as part of the festival. He told that many students of Karkala and nearby also took part in the procession.
Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shobha Karandlaje also participated in the celebration.
