Veteran actor Kamal Haasan, actress Richa Chadha, lyricist Javed Akhtar, after his wife Shabana Azmi and firebrand actress Kangana Ranaut, now Sonam Kapoor have responded to Karnataka Hijab Line. The actress raised questions on the ban on hijab in schools and colleges of the Karnataka government through a social media post. Sonam shared a photo of a man in a turban and a woman in a hijab, wondering why a turban might ‘like’ but a hijab might not on her Instagram stories. Javed Akhtar reacted to hijab row By posting a series of tweets, one of which says, ‘I have never been in favor of the hijab or the burqa. I still hold on to that, but at the same time I have nothing more than deep contempt for these goon mobs who are trying to intimidate a small group of girls and that too unsuccessfully .
