The Karnataka High Court is set to resume the hearing of the Hijab case at 2:30 pm today. The Supreme Court had earlier refused to hear the matter urgently, saying that the HC should hear the matter first.
Schools in Karnataka will reopen today after a meeting between the local administration and leaders on Sunday evening to ensure communal harmony.
Earlier, responding to comments made by some countries on the hijab controversy, the Ministry of External Affairs said that the matter is under the Karnataka High Court and motivated comments on the country’s internal issues are not welcome.
