Mangaluru:
A 25-year-old man, who allegedly misbehaved and sexually assaulted a girl, was tied up and thrashed by her father and two of his friends in Karnataka’s Mangaluru, police said. The man had followed the girl on a motorcycle on December 13 and misbehaved with her.
The girl’s father and his friends, who traced the accused, found him at the place where the girl was molested on Saturday. They allegedly tied him to a pole and thrashed him.
Police reached the spot and took him into custody.
A case has been registered against the accused under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act on the complaint of the girl’s parents. The accused has also lodged a complaint of assault with the police.
