Karnataka sees spike in Covid-19 infections with 12,000 new cases. Bengaluru News – Times of India

Bengaluru: There has been a rapid increase in the cases of corona virus. Karnataka The health bulletin said 12,000 fresh cases and 4 virus-related deaths were reported on Sunday, taking the death toll to 30,51,958 and the death toll to 38,370.
The state has been witnessing a steady rise in cases since December last week and 8,906 daily cases were reported on Saturday.
Of the new cases that came on Sunday, 9,020 were from Bangalore Urban In which 605 people were discharged and two died.
The total number of active cases across the state now stands at 49,602.
The Health Department bulletin said that 901 were discharged, taking the total number of cured people to 29,63,957.
While the positivity rate for the day stood at 6.33 per cent, the case fatality rate (CFR) was 0.03 per cent.
Of the four deaths, two are from Bengaluru Urban and one each from Ballari Dakshina Kannada,
Apart from Bangalore Urban, Mysore The second highest was reported at 398 new cases, followed by Udupi 340, Dakshina Kannada 298, Mandya 261 and Shivamogga 198, among others.
Bengaluru Urban district now has a total of 12,99,319 positive cases, followed by Mysuru at 1,81,330 and Tumakuru at 1,21,780.
According to the bulletin, Bengaluru Urban tops the list with 12,42,326 discharges, followed by Mysuru at 1,77,850 and Tumakuru at 1,20,197.
Overall, a total of 5,76,83,675 samples have been tested in the state, out of which 1,89,499 samples were tested on Sunday alone.
