Koppal: A Muslim civil contractor sponsoring the weddings of five Hindu couples worked hard at the inauguration of the marriage hall built by them in Koppal district on Sunday.

His wife Imambi said that they have named the wedding hall after APJ Abdul Kalam and the stage after Atal Bihari Vajpayee – “Two symbols that stood for communal harmony”.
He said that his aim is to allow people to organize events even without adequate resources. After finalizing the date for the hall’s opening, the couple sent an open invitation to the poor to come forward and get married for free in the newly constructed hall. “Seeing people suffering during Covid, we decided to bear all the expenses of these weddings as a gesture of gratitude and gratitude to the society. We rented the hall for Rs 21,000 including utensils and other facilities to help the poor people Will take.” he said.
