Karnataka’s Shivamogga reopens schools after being closed for a week

Schools and colleges in Karnataka’s Shivamogga district reopened after a week-long shutdown following the killing of Bajrang Dal activist Harsha. The district administration here has extended the prohibitory orders under Section 144 CrPC till March 4.

The police had arrested 10 people in the case and the government has said that it does not appear to be just a case of murder. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said, “There seems to be a bigger picture than what is visible to the eye.”
