KCR is the voice of BJP’s plan to rewrite Constitution: Revanth

TPCC chief called for 48 hours. Protest against KCR’s statement

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President and MP A Revanth Reddy has alleged that the conspiracy to change the Indian Constitution in line with the ideology of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) resonates in the voice of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Responding to Mr Rao’s proposal for a new constitution for the country, he asked what else can be expected from a chief minister who likes Prime Minister Narendra Modi, given the way the TRS supported all the controversial bills in Parliament. can.

Speaking to reporters along with Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkata Reddy in New Delhi, where he is attending Parliament, the Congress chief and Malkajgiri MP said it was a smart move by Mr Rao to divert attention from the budget which Completely failed Telangana again. ,

“In the press conference that lasted for three hours, Mr Rao did not raise the unfulfilled promises of the Bifurcation Act, but tried to create a new narrative on the Constitution, which would never be a reality,” he said.

Mr Reddy asked whether Mr Rao wanted to take away the rights given by the constitution to the poor and the voiceless by talking of changes in the constitution written by intellectuals far ahead of his time and led by Dr. BR Ambedkar. “Mr. Rao was always inclined towards the ideology of the BJP. This time he has dared to come out openly against Dr. Ambedkar.

Stating that the Congress cadre would not allow this to happen, he called on party workers to burn effigies of Mr. Rao across Telangana, near the statues of Dr. Ambedkar.

“From Thursday there will also be a 48-hour agitation, demanding an unconditional apology to Mr Rao and withdrawal of his remarks,” he said.

Objections on KCR’s language

Mr Revanth Reddy also objected to the language used by Mr Rao against Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which he called derogatory and against Telangana culture and values. Using such language against a woman minister who hails from a Telugu state is inexcusable.

He said that Mr. Rao should give respect to Narendra Modi as he is the Prime Minister of India. He said the Congress has never used such offensive language against the Prime Minister despite serious ideological and political differences with Modi.

Commenting on the budget, he described it as a heavy load favoring the 10% rich and elite at the cost of 90% of other Indians. The farmers, who constitute about 75% of the total population, were completely cheated by reducing the subsidy on fertilizer and not even mentioning the minimum support price for the crops. He said the government has earmarked only 4.8 per cent of the total budget for agriculture, which employs about 70% of the population.
