Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Saturday said that the Arvind Kejriwal government is working diligently to transform the country’s education system and inculcate an entrepreneurial mindset among children. Sisodia was addressing the Startup Summit 2022 at Pragati Maidan in Delhi.
In an interaction with entrepreneurs, the Deputy Chief Minister said, “In a country where about 400 million people are either unemployed or belong to that category who earn only half a dollar per day, I see many opportunities for growth due to young entrepreneurs. The work the entrepreneurs of this country are doing today is nothing less than building a nation.
He said that events like Startup Summit 2022 are providing them an opportunity to network and flourish. Sisodia said that this will also help in accelerating the economic growth of the country. “Governments are creating whatever problems they may have” India Number one in the world should be his priority. The Kejriwal government has full faith in this. My heart is in entrepreneurship and I think that’s what I was made to do. Interactions with entrepreneurs always motivate me to work harder for the nation,” the minister said.
He said that entrepreneurs would take the country on the path of becoming a superpower. “The Delhi government is working round the clock to inculcate entrepreneurial mindset among children. It has introduced an Entrepreneurial Mindset Curriculum (EMC) in schools for classes 9 to 12 where the students are taught entrepreneurial skills and they are taught their entrepreneurial skills. Opportunities are given to set up startups, Sisodia said, through an expanded component of the ‘Business Blasters’ curriculum.
