Engineering candidates willing to join engineering colleges located in Kerala can apply for lateral entry admission. Admissions for B.Tech Lateral Entry have started in Kerala from today, June 13. Through these lateral entry admission, candidates can directly enter the second year or third semester of engineering course and earn a degree in just three years.
Engineering aspirants can register themselves in any of the colleges including government, aided and self-financed private institutions. LBS Center for Science and technology This year is responsible for the admission process. So interested candidates apply on official website www.lbscentre.kerala.gov.in. The last date for submission of online application is 11th July.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the two-hour entrance test to be conducted at all the district headquarters centers in the state. As per the official prospectus shared, the entrance exam will be based on the Kerala Technological University (KTU) 1st year B.Tech syllabus. The exam date is expected to be announced soon.
Kerala B Tech Lateral Entry Admission 2022: Eligibility Criteria
education: Only those candidates are eligible who have completed Engineering/Technology Diploma/Vocational Diploma (DVOC), or B.Sc degree with Mathematics in 10+2 from a recognized University. Applicants must have secured 45% marks in these courses. Applicants who have not studied Mathematics in 10+2 must have completed a prescribed university/college level bridge course. B.Sc graduates will be considered for the remaining seats only after enrolling candidates with Diploma and D.Voc qualifications.
age: Those in final year are also eligible to apply and notably, there is no upper age limit to apply.
Kerala B Tech Lateral Entry Admission 2022: Application Fee
An application fee of Rs 1000 has to be paid to complete the registration process. Whereas the candidates belonging to the scheduled category will have to pay a fee of Rs 500 only.
