A 34-year-old receptionist from Tamil Nadu was found murdered by an unidentified man at a hotel in Thiruvananthapuram on Friday, police have said, in an incident that has been shot through a security camera video.
Nilan, popularly known as Ayyappan, was murdered by a man on a motorcycle while sitting at a hotel reception in Thampanur area.
“CCTV visuals showed a man walking into the hotel reception with a knife and stabbing him to death. He fled after the murder. Searches are on,” police said.
The police are yet to ascertain the reason behind the murder.
A hotel employee, who was the only other person present at the lodge, saw the body and called the police.
