Kochi:

Police searched the office of Asianet news channel in Kozhikode, Kerala on Sunday. It has been claimed by the media company that it happened 2 days after the protest by the student wing members of the co-scripted party. Sharing a video on Twitter, Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar has praised the Pinarayi Vijayan government for the search of the police. The BJP leader alleges that serious scams of the elected Vijay scam are coming to the fore. And they want to divert people’s attention by using their goons of Police and SFI.

Bandhu Hai Kira’s office of Malayalam news channel ‘Asianet News’ in Kochi was allegedly barged into by some activists of Friends Federation of India (ForI) on Friday evening and the employees were threatened. According to the police, on the basis of the channel’s complaint, a case was registered against around 30 candidates of SFI, the student wing of the Markpa.

According to the complaint, the SFI worker allegedly barged into the channel’s office at around 8 am while raising slogans against the channel and threatened the staff, police had said. Criticizing the action of SFI, the Press Club of India urged the Kerala government to investigate the incident.
