Kerala priest’s son arrested for stealing gold, cash from his own house: Police

Kottayam (Kerala):

Police on Thursday said they have arrested a priest’s son for allegedly stealing 55 gold ornaments and Rs 80,000 cash from his own house in Kerala’s Kottayam district.

Police said the crime was committed on Tuesday when the priest and wife were away. A police officer said, “We suspected him (son). During interrogation, he confessed to committing the crime. We also had other evidence like his location at the time of the crime.”

Police said that Pujari has two sons, the youngest is working abroad, the motive behind the robbery and other details regarding the stolen valuables will be revealed after further questioning.
