‘Khadda hoibe’: SP, allies reshuffle Mamata’s ‘khela hoibe’ to ‘chase’ BJP in UP polls

Modeled after TMC chief Mamata Banerjee’s famous “khela hoibe” campaign song in West Bengal, the Akhilesh Yadav-led opposition alliance is singing its “kheda hoibe”. Pol Jingle in Uttar Pradesh To oust BJP from power.

The song, based on the local dialect prevalent in Uttar Pradesh’s Purvanchal region, which was launched recently, has been making rounds on social media and is being played at the political functions of the opposition group in its fight against the ruling BJP.

The people of Uttar Pradesh themselves are saying that the stand for BJP will be Hoibe and its (BJP’s) people are being chased away by really angry voters at some places in the state. ,

Samajwadi Party MLC Ashutosh Sinha told PTI-Bhasha, “The slogan of the fight of Khadeda Hoibe is uniting people from different sections of the society and from different walks of life. The blueprint of Bengal (assembly elections) will give a lot to the people of Uttar Pradesh. Lovin it.” ,

Mamta’s ‘khela hobe’

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee who defeated BJP She is batting for the Samajwadi Party in the fight for Uttar Pradesh in the assembly elections held in her state last year.

When contacted, lyricist and singer of ‘Khela Hobe’ jingle Debangshu Bhattacharya, he said that the political situation and fight in both the places are different.

He said the BJP’s rivals in West Bengal have no answer to the party’s ‘Jai Shri Ram’ slogan, which they are using for political purposes. “If anyone tries to stop them, they will show that they have a problem in the name of God and it will also help them in polarization of votes.”

“After fabricated Khela Hobe, if BJP workers raised ‘Jai Shri Ram’, TMC workers would say ‘Khela Hobe’. And, the public showed more interest later,” he said.

‘Khadda Hoibe’ befitting reply to BJP

Bhattacharya, general secretary of TMC’s youth wing, said the election jingle of Khadera Hoibe would also be a strong answer to the BJP’s “tactic of religious polarization”.

He said that in every fight there is a specific fight which generates enthusiasm among the workers. And, if it is liked by the public, it helps the party.”

Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party’s national general secretary Arun Rajbhar said that on October 27 last year, in a joint rally in Mau, SP and SBSP gave the slogan of ‘Kheda Hobe’ on the lines of ‘Khela Hobe’ in Bengal.

“In Bengal, there was a ‘khela’ (sport), but in UP, there would be a ‘khadera’,” he said.

TMC leader from UP Laliteshpati Tripathi said, “In elections, you need unified themes, and if you get them through songs, that’s good.

“And, this time there is a context— if it is possible to defeat BJP in Bengal, I think people can do the same here. This song will be an effective medium to convey this message to the people and the party workers.”

SP’s ‘Khadda Hoibe’ jingle lasts for 3.29 minutes, highlighting the alleged mismanagement of the Covid pandemic on issues like inflation, unemployment.
