The leaked official brochure of the Kia EV6 reveals more details about the upcoming crossover in the Indian spec.
As per the leaked brochures, the India-spec Kia EV6 could be offered in two powertrain options, including rear wheel drive (RWD) and all wheel drive (AWD). However, the company is yet to officially confirm the same and we can’t just rule out the possibility of the GT-Line. RWD The model is being offered to launch in India. Both versions will use a 77.4 kWh lithium-ion battery. The Kia EV6 RWD will offer a range of up to 528 km (WLTP) per charge, while the Kia EV6 AWD will have a range of 425 km. The brand claims that the EV6 accelerates from 0-100 kmph in just 3.5 seconds in the AWD version. The RWD model, on the other hand, will take a little over five seconds to accelerate from 0-100 kmph.
The lithium-ion battery can be charged from 0-80% in just 18 minutes with a 350 kW fast charger, while it takes about 73 minutes to charge from 0-80% using a 50 kW fast charger. It should be noted that right now the commonly available fast-chargers in India mostly include 50 kW chargers. It will be interesting to see if Kia introduces the higher capacity charger at its dealerships.
Talking about the features of Kia EV6 GT Line AWD The variants get an augmented reality head-up display, automatic flush door handles, powered tailgate and more. As per the brochure, the Kia EV6 will be available in five color options including Moonscape, Runway Red, Snow White Pearl, Yachts Blue and Aurora Black Pearl.
