Kia India launches refreshed Seltos, Sonnet: Changes explained – Times of India

Kia India today announced the launch of refreshed versions of two of its popular cars, the Kia Seltos and the Kia Sonet. The refreshed Kia Seltos comes at a price of Rs 10.19 lakh and the refreshed Kia Sonet is available at a starting price of Rs 7.15 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom, pan-India). Customers can book the refreshed Seltos and Sonnet at Kia dealerships in India or through the official website.
With a greater focus on safety, Kia India will now offer 4 airbags as standard across all lower variants, adding side airbags to the refreshed Seltos and the refreshed Sonnet. Kia India has also announced that it will introduce two new colors – Imperial Blue and Sparkling Silver on the refreshed versions of the Kia Seltos and Kia Sonnet.
Seltos and Sonnet now get a new Kia Connect app to provide enhanced connectivity to the users. Also, the company has introduced IMT technology with the diesel engine on the new Kia Seltos.
Fresh Kia Seltos
The refreshed Kia Seltos has been updated with 13 new enhancements. Kia India has introduced Intelligent Manual Transmission (iMT) technology on the Kia Seltos HTK+ variant with 1.5 diesel engine. In addition to this, the Seltos now comes in a new variant HTX AT which is powered by a 1.5-litre diesel powertrain.

For a more responsive driving experience, the company has expanded the paddle shifters with multi-drive and traction modes for all automatic variants of the Kia Seltos. Several safety features, such as side airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Brake Assist (BA), Hill Assist Control (HAC), Highline Tire Pressure Monitoring System (Highline TPMS) and all-wheel disc refresh Brakes are also provided as standard on the Kia Seltos.
Apart from this, the Seltos HTX+ variant also gets curtain airbags. To enhance the appeal, the Seltos will get a D-cut steering wheel, SUS scuff plate and logo design changes on the tailgate. The Seltos X Line will now be offered with the X Line logo on the Indigo Para seats.

Refreshed Kia Sonnet
The refreshed Kia Sonnet has been updated with nine new enhancements. It will now be equipped with side airbags and Highline Tire Pressure Monitoring System (Highline TPMS) to further enhance the safety.
Apart from this, Kia India will also offer key safety features like Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Brake Assist (BA), Hill Assist Control (HAC) as standard on IMT trims.
Curtain airbags will now be offered on the HTX+ variant. The new Kia Sonnet gets a 4.2-inch colored instrument cluster from the HTX variant. The semi leatherette seat will now be offered from the HTE variant only. Similar to the refreshed Seltos, the newly launched Sonnet will also get design changes such as the D-cut steering wheel and the Sonnet logo on the tailgate.

The refreshed Seltos will be available in 19 variants and the Taza Sonnet will be available in 21 variants, with the ex-showroom prices as follows:
