Kia India sold around 31,000 units of Cairns MPV in six months

Kia India is betting big on the Carence MPV and it is one of the extremely popular three-row MPVs for sale in India. 20 lakh price range. The Kia Carens had already garnered over 50,000 bookings within a few months of hitting the road and now the Korean carmaker has confirmed that it has already sold 30,953 units in India in the last six months. The Kia Carens went on sale in India in February this year at a starting ex-showroom price of Rs. 8.99 lakh for the base premium variant, up to Rs. 16.19 lakh for the range-topping Luxury Plus trim.

That being said, its prices were revised three months back where it saw a revision of up to Rs. 70,000 Kia Carrens ex-showroom prices now start at Rs. 9.59 lakh for the base premium variant, up to Rs. 17.69 lakh for the range-topping Luxury Plus trim. The MPV also replaced the Sonet in March 2022 as Kia’s second best seller after the Seltos.

There is an option of Blue and Beige two-tone treatment in the Luxury Plus variant.

The Kia Carens is offered in five variants – Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury and Luxury Plus and with three engine options as well as a choice of automatic gearbox on two engines. The engine line-up includes 113 bhp 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 113bhp 1.5-litre turbo-diesel and 138bhp 1.4-litre turbo-petrol. A 6-speed manual gearbox is standard across all three units with the option of 7-speed DCT and 6-speed torque converter automatic units with turbo-petrol and diesel respectively.
