KK died of a heart attack. He was 53 years old. The late singer took ill after performing at Nazrul Manch in Kolkata. He was taken to his hotel room where he collapsed and fell near the bed.
In the video, KK’s team is seen escorting him out of the auditorium after telling him about chest pain. It is also being said that the concert took place in a closed auditorium and the AC was not working. KK was sweating profusely and requested the management to do something about it. During this, PM Narendra Modi Saddened to hear the news of KK’s passing. He took to Twitter and remembered him for his contribution to Indian cinema. He wrote, “Saddened by the untimely demise of renowned singer Krishnakumar Kunnath popularly known as KK. His songs reflect a wide range of emotions with people of all age groups. We will always remember him through his songs. Condolences to his family and fans. Om Shanti.”
Even KK’s friends and fans were also seen sharing emotional messages on social media. Several of his fan clubs shared videos of his final performance on the stage.
