KL Rahul out of SA T20I due to injury, Rishabh Pant captains India cricket news

KL Rahul, who was to lead India in the upcoming five-match T20I series against South Africa, has been ruled out due to injury, the BCCI informed via a tweet on Wednesday. Left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav has also been ruled out of the series due to injury. Wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant is now going to lead India in the series. Hardik Pandya has been made the vice-captain.

The selection committee has not named anyone in place of KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav. Both the cricketers will now report to the NCA where the medical team will further assess them and decide on the future course of treatment, the BCCI said in a press release.
