In the Uttarakhand Assembly Election 2022, voting will be held in Mussoorie Assembly Constituency on February 14, 2022. Mussoorie assembly constituency election result will be declared on March 10 along with Uttarakhand election result 2022.

Like all election seasons in the hill state, all eyes are on whether the party that comes to power makes a historic comeback for the second time in a row. The ruling BJP, riding on the “double engine mantra” of the Center and the state, is confident of breaking this illusion, while the Congress is hoping to corner the BJP over repeated changes in CMs.

The ruling BJP has fielded sitting MLA Ganesh Joshi from Mussoorie constituency, while the Congress has fielded Godavari Thapli as its candidate. Sanjay Malla has got the ticket from SP, while Ashok Panwar has been fielded by BSP.

Ganesh Joshi, Bharatiya Janata Party

BJP’s sitting MLA and candidate Ganesh Joshi has declared agriculture and business as profession in his affidavit and there is no criminal case against him. The 64-year-old, a Class 10 pass out, has declared total assets of Rs 9.7 crore and liabilities of Rs 64.8 lakh. millionaire The candidate has movable assets worth Rs 2.8 crore and immovable assets worth Rs 7 crore. He has declared his own income as Rs 14.2 lakh and total income Rs 32.8 lakh.

Godavari Thapli, Indian National Congress

Congress candidate Godavari Thapli has also declared agriculture and business as profession in his election affidavit. The 58-year-old holds a bachelor’s degree and has declared total assets of Rs 2 crore. His movable assets are Rs 20.5 lakh and immovable assets are Rs 1.8 crore. He has declared self-income of Rs 5 lakh and total income of Rs 17.8 lakh. There is no criminal case against him.

Ashok Panwar, Bahujan Samaj Party

BSP candidate Ashok Panwar has no criminal case against him and the 55-year-old has pursued agriculture and business as a profession. Panwar, a graduate degree holder, has declared total assets of Rs 2.7 crore and liabilities of Rs 18 lakh. His movable assets are Rs 18.2 lakh and immovable assets are Rs 2.5 crore. His own income is Rs 6.7 lakh.

Shakuntala Rawat, Uttarakhand Kranti Dal

Shakuntala Rawat, 56, is a housewife and social worker and has no criminal case against her. Class 10 pass has declared total assets of Rs 7,000, all movable, and no liabilities. He has not declared any self-income.

Prem Kishan, Aam Aadmi Party

The average assets per candidate contesting in the Uttarakhand Assembly Election 2022 is Rs 2.74 crore. In the 2017 Uttarakhand assembly election, the average assets per candidate for 637 candidates was Rs 1.57 crore.

As for the educational details of the candidates, 244 candidates have declared their educational qualification between 5th and 12th class, while 344 candidates have declared their educational qualification as graduation or above.

Seven candidates are diploma holders and 26 candidates have declared themselves as just literate and 3 candidates are illiterate. Two candidates have not given their educational qualification.

The age of 167 contesting candidates is between 25 to 40 years while 356 candidates have declared their age between 41 to 60 years. There are 101 candidates who have declared their age between 61 to 80 years and 2 candidates who have declared they are above 80 years of age.
