Kodi is enjoying his stay at Suni Prison; Religious harmony is deteriorating in Kerala: K. rectification

Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee President K. “All this is being done with the connivance of the government and the chief minister should be ready to respond,” Sudhakaran said.

Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president K. Sudhakaran said that the government is conspiring to provide facilities to Kodi Suni in jail.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Sudhakaran said that Kodi Suni is enjoying all the pleasures of life ever since he was imprisoned.

All this is being done with the connivance of the government and the chief minister should be ready to answer, he said.

The KPCC president further said that religious harmony is deteriorating in the state and there is no point in taking action after the issue is out of control.

“If there was another government in place of this leftist government, it would have called a convention on religious harmony and called for the protection of religious harmony. But what is happening here does not reach this government.

He demanded, “The Chief Minister should intervene to end the problems following the controversial statement of the Bishop of Pala.”

Meanwhile, responding to the allegations leveled by the KPCC president, CPI state secretary Kanam Rajendran said the meeting of religious and community leaders should not be called on the basis of the allegation of ‘narcotics jihad’ leveled by the bishop.

He told media persons in Kannur that love and marriage have existed since the time of man and should not be portrayed and brought under religion.

Accusing the opposition of discussing the issue and making it worse, Mr Rajendran said that ‘love jihad’ and ‘narcotics jihad’ cannot be investigated on the basis of what anyone says.
