Kolar result: Kothur Manjunath of INC defeats CMR Srinath

Karnataka Elections 2023 Results: Indian National Congress candidate Kothur G Manjunath has won from Kolar constituency in Karnataka. He defeated CMR Srinath of Janata Dal (Secular) by a margin of 30761 votes.

According to the information received from the Election Commission’s website, Kothurji Manjunath got 83990 votes including 834 postal votes, while Srinath got 53229 votes including 864 postal votes.

Third position was held by R Varthuru Prakash of Bharatiya Janata Party who got 50278 votes including 636 postal votes.

In short, Kothurji Manjunath got 43.56 percent of the total votes, while CMR Srinath managed to get 27.61 percent. R Varthuru Prakash got 26.41 per cent votes.

According to the ECI website, the Indian National Congress won 135 seats and is leading in one more. While BJP had won 65 seats. JD(S) won only 19 seats.

Besides, Congress claimed 42.88 per cent votes in the elections, BJP 36 per cent, while JD(S) only 13.29 per cent.
