Kolkata: A biker Two killed and two others injured in separate accidents on an uneven stretch of newly laid road surface VIP Road Near teghoria Wednesday nights and Thursdays.
Wednesday night at around 8.15 pm, Sanjib Daso He lost control of his bike when he fell on an uneven part of the road and fell down from his two-wheeler. A car coming from behind crushed him. He was immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital where a doctor declared him brought dead.
On Thursday, two other cyclists were injured around the same area when they too fell down from a two-wheeler and were hit by a car from behind, but thankfully both survived the injuries.
Police said, a large portion of the VIP road has been left with a large gap between the middle divider and the newly laid road using a German machine, resulting in several accidents in the past few weeks. On Wednesday, the bike fell into one such gap and the bike rider lost control, leading to the accident.
“We have already informed the state about the matter Public Works Department And have asked them to make amendments immediately to avoid further mishaps,” said a senior official of the Bidhannagar commissionerate.
