With the area around the godown being densely populated, at least 9 fire tenders responded to the call around 5.23 pm. Although no one is trapped in the building, the damage is expected to be huge.
Within the next half hour 6 more joined the fight. Its intensity was such that flames could be seen from afar. Some locals complained of uneasiness with the smell of burning leather.

Till the last reports came at around 8 pm, the fire was still operating continuously with 15 engines, with firefighters first making sure it did not spread beyond the factory premises and evacuating residents living close to the premises.
Fear still prevails in the area and locals fear that the fire could engulf their homes as well.
According to the information, two fire brigade personnel received injuries during the operation. He has been admitted to the Government NRS Hospital.
Locals took water from their homes in buckets and filled fire brigade when the water ran out.
