In another development, India on Friday saw a slight decline in daily Covid-19 cases with the country registering 6,168 new infections in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Union Health Ministry. The country recorded 7,946 Covid-19 cases on Thursday. At present, there are 59,210 active cases in India. The death toll has risen to 5,27,932 with 21 new deaths in the last 24 hours.

According to the Health Ministry data, 9,685 Kovid patients have been cured of the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of cured people in the country to 4,38,55,365.
