Shivamogga/Bengaluru: Senior BJP MLA and former Deputy Chief Minister KS Eshwarappa Fresh controversy erupted on Friday, saying they would retrieve 36,000 temples that were destroyed by Muslim rulers to build mosques over them.

Eshwarappa had recently resigned from the post of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister after being accused of abetment to suicide in the death of contractor Santosh Patil.
