Bahraich District Magistrate Dinesh Chandra said that the post-mortem of the farmer Gurvinder Singh, who lost his life in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence, was done again on Wednesday. Commenting on the development, Bahraich DM Dinesh Chandra said, “An expert panel of doctors came from Lucknow to monitor the postmortem, which was recorded in compliance with the orders of the Chief Minister’s Office. The panel will give the results. The post-mortem will be conducted again.” This is being done because the satisfaction of the family is our priority.”

He said, “The family of a person killed in the Lakhimpur incident had raised doubts over the post-mortem and made another request. The state government complied and the post-mortem was conducted again to ensure that it was conducted in a fair and transparent manner. has been done,” he said.

The postmortem was done again as his family thought he had been shot dead.

A family member of the deceased said, “I have no problem now. The team from Lucknow had come for the post-mortem. We will accept the result. After some rituals, the last rites will take place.”

The Uttar Pradesh government on Monday announced a judicial inquiry into the Lakhimpur Kheri case under a retired high court judge.

The government also announced that Rs 45 lakh and government jobs would be provided to the families of those killed in the violence. 10 lakh each will be given to the injured.

Eight people, including four farmers, were killed in violence in Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri district on Sunday.
