Lamborghini Urus becomes the brand’s best-selling model in India: It made it a huge hit – Times of India

Keeping in mind the market trend, the luxury sports car manufacturer lamborghini Entered the SUV space back in December 2017 with the Urus, with an Indian launch in 2018. The Urus certainly proved to be a game changer for the Italian carmaker, becoming its best-selling model not only in India, but globally.
Lamborghini has now revealed that it has delivered 200 units of the Urus SUV in the Indian market in less than 4 years, with 2021 being the car’s best year ever. The Italian sports car maker aims to continue this momentum in 2022 by continuing to drive growth. Lamborghini says that offering the versatility of an SUV along with the driving dynamics of a super sports car is behind the success of the Urus.
“In 2018, when we launched Urus, we said that it would be a game changer for us as we knew we faced some challenges in terms of city congestion, infrastructure around us, And this is a concept where you can drive and enjoy your Lamborghini with more than one person in the car, said Sharad Agarwal, Head, Lamborghini India, on this momentous occasion.

Lamborghini Urus Draws power from a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that spins all the way up to 6,800 rpm. This is the same engine that is seen under the hood Audi RS Q8, but is available here in high condition. The engine churns out 650 PS of power at 6,000 rpm and 850 Nm of torque between 2,250-4,500 rpm.
The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels, and also gets limited slip central differential and asymmetric/dynamic torque distribution. The 2.2-tonne SUV can accelerate to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds, while 0 – 200 km/h clocks in at 12.8 seconds, before topping out at 305 km/h.

Lamborghini Urus

The standard Lamborghini Urus is currently priced at Rs 3.15 crore in India, while the exclusive Pearl Capsule Edition Will set you back Rs 3.43 crore (both prices, ex-showroom). The list of rivals includes Aston Martin DBX, Bentley BentaygaAs well as the Audi RS Q8.
