The baboons were mourning considering the child of the monkey to be dead
There is no turning back for scientists and studying animal behavior. They find new ways to be around them to better read animal behavior. To get a glimpse of how the langur (langur) community behaves in the wild, the BBC has created a documentary series called ‘Spy in the Wild’. Which was based on introducing animatronic creatures equipped with spy technology into animal communities to get a closer look at the animal’s behavior and emotions. Now once again a short video from the docu-series has gone viral on social media.

In the video you can see langurs mourning the ‘death’ of a mature monkey baby, shown to people as part of the experiment. One of the langurs laps up the lifeless robot spy monkey and hugs it. Then, ‘the lifeless monkey was laid in the middle and the other langurs watched as it was dragged away.
“Thus the langur monkeys are showing sympathetic behavior when they are grieving and understanding that it is a dead baby langur, which is actually a robot spy monkey.”
