Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar has finally recovered from COVID-19 and pneumonia, informed Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope on Sunday.

About a month ago, he was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital after suffering from COVID-19 and pneumonia.

Earlier today Rajesh Tope said, “I spoke to Dr Pratit Samdani, who is treating singer Lata Mangeshkar. She is recovering, was on ventilator for few days, but is better now. She is not on ventilator anymore. Only oxygen is being given. Her. She is responding to the treatment.”

To quash any rumours, the singer’s team has been sharing her health updates regularly.

Regarded as one of the iconic singers of Indian cinema, Lata Mangeshkar received Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honour, in the year 2001.

Known as the ‘Nightingale of India’, this legendary singer has recorded songs in more than a thousand Hindi films and sung many songs in many Indian languages ​​and foreign languages.
