Latest teaser of Mahindra ‘Born Electric’ shows the touchscreen of the new electric SUV – Times of India

Less than two weeks after the unveiling of its 5 new electric SUVs, Mahindra And Mahindra has again shared a teaser video of what the ‘Born Electric’ range of SUVs can offer. This time around, the company has given us a glimpse of the kind of user interface (UI) that Mahindra has developed for its latest generation electric SUV.

What the teaser video reveals, the ‘Born Electric’ UI will support multiple applications, navigation, music and mobile connectivity, including Bluetooth. The UI also features two separate temperature controls on either side, which makes it conceivable that these electric SUVs will have dual-zone climate control. The translucent graphic of the vehicle reveals a boxy and muscular body style and a progressive battery charge status graphic has also been teased.

Another aspect of the UI was also seen in the teaser video, which was marked as ‘personalisation’. The tab listed several other options under it, such as adjusting seat, adjusting climate, setting music preferences and adjusting ambient color. The UI also features a cool graphic showing the angle and degree of tilt of the passenger seats.

The ‘Bourne Electric’ SUV has been developed by the Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (MADE) facility in Oxfordshire, United Kingdom. MADE program IS led by the Chief Designer of Mahindra, Pratap Bose, In all, 5 SUVs are expected to be unveiled on August 15, out of which the electric counterpart of the XUV300, which could be called the XUV400, is expected to be launched in India first. Apart from this, the two coupe-like SUVS and the XUV 700-like body style have also been lightly teased.
