Ghaziabad, October 5: A section of lawyers of the Ghaziabad Bar Association on Tuesday condemned the brutal act of the son of Union Minister of State (Home) Ajay Kumar Mishra, accused in the FIR in connection with the death of farmers in Lakhimpur Kheri violence. . In their meeting chaired by advocate Aurangzeb Khan, the lawyers also decided to organize a protest rally on Wednesday and visit the district magistrate’s office in Ghaziabad to submit a memorandum addressed to President Ram Nath Kovind.
Former Bar Association president Nahar Singh Yadav said that the actions of the BJP leader’s son show that there is anarchy in Uttar Pradesh. Advocates also observed a two-minute silence on Sunday for those killed in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence in which eight people, including four farmers and two BJP workers, were killed.
Violence erupted after two farmers were killed on the spot when a car of a convoy of BJP supporters overturned at the farmers’ protest site.
