Taking serious note of the post-poll clashes and violence in BJP-ruled Tripura, a Left-Congress delegation on Saturday said it would raise the issue in Parliament to bring the matter to the knowledge of all countrymen.

Members of the delegation, which came under attack from miscreants in Nehalchandranagar on Friday during their tour of violence-hit areas, also said that senior Left and Congress leaders would meet President Draupadi Murmu and apprise him of “terrorism”. Expressing concern over the attack on the MP delegation, Kumar said incidents of violence have been taking place in the state for a long time but no measures have been taken to restore peace and order.

Meanwhile, BJP spokesperson Nabendu Bhattacharya alleged that there was a deep-rooted conspiracy behind the attack on the delegation.
