no time for war

It is time to bring both Moscow and Kyiv to the high table and prepare a ceasefire. World leaders must extinguish the blazing fire between Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky. The United Nations must convene a special emergency session to immediately stop the war.

event and response

The recent incident in Madrid, Spain, in which male university students living in a dormitory block at a major university were filmed indecently abusing female students in another dormitory block, was shocking. But the glimmer of hope has been an unprecedented response: prosecutors are investigating and taking action against male students; Widespread political condemnation and debate and, finally, criticism of the Spanish prime minister’s “masculine, unspeakable, inappropriate and absolutely repugnant behavior”. It is heartening that the Prime Minister said, “We must not give any excuse for these behaviors which certainly do not represent the general spirit of Spanish society. I think it is important that all political parties and media Express a clear ‘no’ to these behaviours, and don’t take a step back on real equality between men and women. The leader of the Spanish opposition has called for an end to “these unbearably sexist attitudes”, it is noteworthy. India There is a golden lesson in Spanish phenomenon for many people.

Chief Minister’s advice

The “pain” expressed by the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister over the actions of some of his ministers and party leaders seems appropriate and understandable (p. 1, October 10). It is true that some ministers and MLAs brought shame and ridicule to the ruling party due to their indecent behavior.

It is timely advice by Mr. Stalin to be careful and careful in his actions and words. Ministers and other leaders need to act responsibly, perform their duties promptly and do not leave room for any criticism.

What the Chief Minister has said, the ministers under consideration and the partymen should digest it. They should conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with ministerial and party conduct.

Mani Natarajan,

The Chief Minister’s call is evidence of an effort to gradually introduce discipline. The difference is that while the former AIADMK leader tightly controlled his party men and ministers, Mr. Stalin believes in appealing first.
