LIC-backed GSK Pharma declares ₹32 per share dividend, Q4 net profit down 89% YoY

GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals is a Large Cap company that has registered Market Cap of 21,829.66 crore during Friday’s concluding session. GSK is headquartered in Mumbai, has a production site in Nashik, Maharashtra, contract manufacturing companies and sales outlets across the country.

“The board has recommended a dividend of Rs. GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals in a stock exchange filing said, for the year ended March 31, 2023, at a face value of Rs 10 per equity share for the year ended March 31, 2023, subject to the approval of the members at the 98th Annual General Meeting.

During Q4FY23, the company registered a consolidated net revenue from operations of 787.45 crore, down 2.74% from Rs. 809.63 crore in Q4FY22. The company said its consolidated net profit stood at Rs. 133.43 crore during the quarter ended March 2023, a decline of 89.05%. 1,219.05 crore during the quarter ended March 2022. GlaxoSmithKline EPS declined to Rs. 7.41 in the quarter under review from Rs. 71.96 in the year-ago quarter.

Mr. Bhushan Akshikar, Managing Director, GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ltd., commented, “GSK is focused on capturing share of key brands and defending leadership positions for the treatments in which we operate. With the launch of our global blockbuster Shingrix, we hope to address an unmet preventive healthcare need and gain momentum for our vaccines business.”

GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals shares closed on NSE today up 0.66% from its previous close of 1,290 1,281.50. The stock has declined 16.36% in last 1 year and on YTD basis, it has declined 2.00% in 2023 so far. The stock has touched a 52-week high 1,570.00 (24-May-2022) and 52-week low 1,227.00 on (03-May-2023). During Q4FY23, GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals reported promoters holding of 75.00%, FII holding of 2.28%, DII holding of 10.31% and public holding of 12.43%. GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals held 61,97,087 shares or 3.66% stake during the January to March 2023 quarter as per the shareholding pattern of Insurance major LIC.
