LinkedIn survey finds 55% of professionals are stressed

According to a LinkedIn survey, most 55% of working professionals in India are feeling stressed at work due to work-life imbalance, inadequate income and slow career progression.

The survey, which was based on responses from 3,881 professionals from July 31 to September 24, said the mental health of working professionals has been adversely affected by keeping pace with the shift times over the past 18 months.

When asked to share their primary causes of work stress, respondents reported ‘balancing work with personal needs’ (34%), ‘not making enough money’ (32%), and ‘slowing career growth’. Unnati’ (25%) as the top. three reasons.

Ashutosh Gupta, India Country Manager, LinkedIn, said, “These stressful times of change have prompted the need for greater flexibility and work-life balance among professionals.”

“But our survey shows what employees need and what employers are offering to deal with stress,” he said.

Mr Gupta said that while nearly half (47%) of employed professionals preferred to finish work on time, only one-third (36%) were actually able to do so.
