London: Indian student working as waitress was stabbed to death in London’s Hyderabad restaurant – Times of India

LONDON: An Indian student who had arrived in the UK just a month ago is hospitalized in a critical condition after being stabbed to death at a biryani restaurant in Hyderabad earlier. London Where she was working as a part time waitress.

The restaurant specializes in Biryani and Hyderabadi Cooking. After finishing the meal at around 2.20 pm when she went to her table the man suddenly grabbed her, pulled her towards him, pulled out the knife and stabbed her several times, continued to do so and she fell on the floor. In the CCTV footage, he is seen threatening the staff and customers who are trying to stop him.
Shriram Ambarla (23), an Indian national from Hyderabad, without any definite address, was charged with attempt to murder on Sunday as part of a stabbing investigation. He appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court in east London on Monday and was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on 25 April.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called on Friday, March 25 at 14.22 a.m. (2.22 p.m. local time) on reports of a stabbing at Barking Road. The officers parted ways with London Ambulance Service And a 20-year-old woman found stab wounds. He was taken to the hospital where his condition is serious but stable.”
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We sent two ambulance crew, a paramedic in a rapid response car and an incident response officer to the scene. We also sent an air ambulance to London. We treated a patient on the spot and took him to a major trauma center on priority.”
The University of East London said in a statement: “The University is aware of an incident involving two students at a Hyderabad Wala restaurant on Friday 25 March. We are providing assistance to those involved and cooperating with the Metropolitan Police.”
This stabbing comes six days after a British Indian student Sabita Thanwani (19), City, a graduate at the University of London, was stabbed to death in the hall of her university residence on 19 March.
