A massive fire reportedly broke out in a skyscraper in the central Chinese city of Changsha, state media reported on Friday, while the casualties were “currently unknown”. “Firefighters have started extinguishing the fire and rescue operations at the scene,” the report further said, adding that the fire consumed a high-rise building that housed the office of state-run telecommunications company China Telecom.

Meanwhile, a photo released by CCTV showed orange flames wafting through a building in a built-up area of ​​the city as black smoke billowed into the sky, AFP reported.
